Peeeeeej assured us that it wouldn't rain 11 inches the entire event.

It rained 11 inches in the first 24 hours.

Our street was covered about an hour ago. Never seen it covered before. It's gone down.

We were going to drive in from Houston tonight for the LSU graduation tomorrow. Starting to rethink that plan.

Da fuq?

The week leading up to it had a swath of 20" predicted by modeling somewhere along the central gulf coast. Two days out, it was for Laffy to BR. Weather service had totals pushing 15-20" for the area a day out.

Like I said, while I agree, dismissing this as a casual summer storm is stupid and inaccurate.

No clue. Drove behind people who pumped their brakes for every puddle though, making my commute 30 minutes longer than normal

About 4" last I looked for most of BR proper. SE got less but it's getting up toward that number quickly. Northern parts of EBR showing totals pushing 6".

ETA: Shot too high, updated with radar estimate.

That's originally what Chicken was going to call the OT, but "OT Lounge" just sounds better than "SI Lounge".

I meant both streets were flooded with stalled vehicles.

I get what you’re saying but everyone in this thread is just discussing the areas of town that are currently flooded. I don’t see anyone screaming for sandbags or losing their shite.
