Good news:
Well mostly:

If there is one area of particular concern it would be central and eastern Louisiana where the early morning MCS will overlap with recent very heavy rain that occurred on Thursday near Baton Rouge. Much of this will play out prior to 12Z today, though, and then the heavier rain rates, 1-2 inches per hour, will move into areas of higher FFG and lesser antecedent wetness over southern Mississippi and areas farther east.

I checked my wunderground app 3 times in 30 minutes and rain projection went from .56” to 2.63” for the St.George East “Prairieville”.

Any homes flooding yet? Stupid drivers is one thing but I really don’t want to see people’s lives on the side of the road again.

The flood stage projections for the local rivers were relatively modest on WBRZ last night.. I specifically remember watching the news in 2016 and seeing every single river in south Louisiana projected to dwarf previous records.

I have to drive from Thibodaux to Essen lane for a wedding at 5. I guess I better leave now. Who had a wedding on a Friday at 5 pm on Essen Lane?
