Yeah, when we fish the seaweed lines in the Gulf we crush the mahi mahi. We once saw a pod of pilot whales roaming the seaweed lines.

I can't think of a better way to get some rest and relaxation by leaving my busy downtown high rise office and head to Gulf Shores/OB to another busy high rise building, fighting mobs of people, lines, and heavy traffic.

They attract game fish for just that reason. Weedlines are like manna from heaven when offshore fishing.

Yes, please stay away from the Alabama beaches everyone. They are terrible and no one from Louisiana or Texas would want to be there.

Just shut up and carry all the toys down to the beach that your kids will play with for 5 minutes before they eat sand and shite their bathing suit so you have to carry them all the way back up the high rise while they kick and scream.

Or you could use that tiny brain you have and stay at places that aren’t busy high rises

Lived in PCB for 4 years and we used to get seaweed too. Never really bothered me though. I will take seaweed over jellyfish any day. Same for the red tide.

frick it. I’m going out up my LSU tent on the front row, my LSU chairs, and my LSU kite and make the best out of my weekend to see Phish.

There was some on weekend of 5/8 but I just walked on over it to swim in the riptide. Was not too bad.

Somehow this is BPs fault.

Just got home from OB today. The seaweed is the worst I’ve seen there but they are trying to pick it up . A JD tractor with a baler of some sort was riding along scooping it up . Then an hour later another island of the red stuff washes ashore.
It’s at least a foot thick at the water line.
They are also still searching for the young man that was swept out to sea last weekend. Sad situation.

Just left. It was getting better but gonna take the tide a while.
Was perfect the week before that rolled in on Sunday after all the storms off shore.
