Tough fricking choice IMHO. Cali’s rules will cause huge headaches and mean lower profits for anyone attempting to enter that market. OTOH, I bet demand remains high in the other 49 states without having to do this crap.

There’s gonna be a black market for pork, guaranteed

I don't think the hispanics are going to give up their pig meat. They'll be running pigs through El Chapo's tunnels before long.

Oh well, after a few people get raped by bears maybe they will change their minds.

It’s the left coast, I’m certain they have far more than their fair share of bear rape.

2018 that requires more space for breeding pigs, egg-laying chickens and veal calves.

The eating chickens and cows need to fight this for equal rights

I'm happy to pay extra to ensure the cow, pig, chicken whatever on my plate had just "one bad day."

Farms will adapt, and charge more, for pigs raised in conditions that meet CA's new laws.

You have options now to purchase "ethically raised" animals, and if this is an important thing to you, please do so.

Just don't inflict your "PETA tax" or your high morals on the rest of us.

As you might have guessed, Mr. Mencken had a dim view of politics and the general populace.

Current events seem to be proving him an optimist.

It is kind of gross the way we farm pigs. I think happy pigs make happy bacon. I kinda wish farming was a little more local. It is just weird how back in the day when I was young my family knew more people with farms than they did that had 2 TV's and this was only 30 years ago. Basically we need more vegetarians so my bacon prices will go down.

I'm gonna eat it regardless tho.

Is long pork healthier than the normal kind? Excluding anything with greymatter mixed in, of course.
