Economics and how many people we can feed. With that said, I’ve always been against the chicken model. Chicken farmers get fricked by Tyson, Pilgrims, etc.

I really don't care about this. I'm totally fine with animals being bred and raised in a factory specifically for our consumption.

They're treated horribly for the most part. So many reasons why they shouldn't be raised like that. And I'm coming at this issue as someone who is probably 85%-90% carnivore, so I certainly do not have an issue with eating meat.

These animals are raised only for meat. If the demand wasn’t there, there would be far less of them and their life cycles would look different

Nope. I enjoy foie gras. It can also be produced humanely without tube feeding the geese.

There are a couple of farms in upstate NY that specialize in it.

Sad when Californians (most Libs for that matter) care more about a pigs life than a human one.

You should buy a dictionary, or at least use your Google machine to look up the meanings of words.

And your picture is a non-sequitur, at least as far as it's directed to me. I've already stated that I'm largely carnivore. I'm obviously not opposed to killing animals. I just don't get my rocks off at the thought of torturing them.

Then you buy “humanely” raised meats. The whole point of this shite is you’re forcing everybody to pay for your opinion.

I'm not forcing you to do anything. I have no problem paying more for my food sources that I feel are raised in an ethical manner.

As far as the California regulations, I haven't researched them, but according to the OP, they were approved by the voters. Does that bother you?

LOL. What does this mean in the context of the thread topic? You sound like a hysterical woman.

Nope. Plenty fine by me. State laws are great. I think its unfortunate that people who don’t buy into that bullshite no longer get an option at all, but they live in a shithole whose constituents voted for it so that’s their problem.

It’s a pig that’s about to get killed that doesn’t know any better. You think it gives a frick about more space? That pig gives zero fricks.

Plenty happy boss. I respect your opinion of thinking animals don’t have enough space, why don’t you respect mine?

Good news for the rest of us. Seriously…. There is a real shortage of pork, and Asia has an insatiable appetite for it, and so demand is high there. This puts the squeeze on other markets, driving prices higher. Let California graze on grass for all I care. Better for the rest of us.
