Backpack recommendations requested

I have an older North Face Box Shot. I like it, but damn it makes my back sweat. I think it might be the extra padding it has, but I'm not sure. Are there any brands that are less prone to this? I would appreciate any recommendations and personal experience with the recommendation.
TIA

I packed one of these for several years, you’d be surprised what you can pack in/on it…

I carry a backpack everywhere. I searched for months to find one that was well built and fit my needs.
I bought a Samsonite Sweetwater backpack. It should last a very long time due to the quality

Don’t know much weight you are trying to carry around but I’ve used this for a long time for short hikes. It’s very light and breathable material.

Better packs will have ventilation channels to help with back sweat, some are better than others. Look into Vaude brand packs, I have three in various sizes and they're wonderful yet still very comfortable and supportive because they have a very slight arch to keep the main compartment off your back yet not so much that they shift your center of gravity out behind you.

I have 3 KUIUs that I've taken all over the world. I like then a lot.

What do you plan to use it for?

School?
Backpacking/hostel trip?

I like the osprey stuff. Lots of choices with the vented back.

General Travel. I use the Box Shot as a personal bag when flying. Also use it on vacations to carry water, ponchos, snacks whatever the wife thinks she needs, ect. It's time to replace and want something not "as hot" on my back.
Not looking to do extreme hiking or backpacking. More of a day bag I guess.

GoRuck GR2. It’ll last forever.

I have a BlackBriar backpack for work travel. Getting a second now and a ski bag from them. Great quality and price is not bad either.

For real though I have one as my travel bag and it's great.

Thule. There are no better backpacks. Zippers are robust and there is a lot of space.

I second this. I bought a lightweight Osprey when I lived in Kuala Lumpur for two years. Kept my umbrella and a few other necessities in it when walking about town. Was great for grocery getting. I now use on vacations.
