re: Help with Japanese Maple - Tiger31
No the bark seems to be fine. Just the leaves are the issue. It will produce new leaves then they scorch. Sounds like I need to reduce the watering and wait it out. ...

re: Help with Japanese Maple - Tiger31
Thanks for all the responses. I do have it in an area where garden sprinklers hit it 3 times a week for about 20 minutes. Could it be that its getting too much water? I have not fertilized it all since I planted. ...

I'm in North Carolina and its been pretty hot the last few weeks but it is really never done well since I planted it. It gets full sun in the morning and I thought it was blocked f...

re: Charlotte, NC - pros/cons - Tiger31
I guess this depends a lot on age and what you are looking for in the place you live. If you have kids it’s hard to beat. We moved here in 2019 from BR. The only negative is the food is major step down. Everything else is massively better. Tons of outdoor things to do, good public schools, ...

re: Does anyone here have any experience using a resume writing service? - Tiger31
I used them in my last search and was very helpful in taking specialized tasks and responsibilities related to one industry and making them applicable to really any industry I applied to. I went through LinkedIn. You can request a quote and get a few back with different services and prices. It he...

Bermuda Grass Help - Tiger31
I’m in a new neighborhood in North Carolina. Builder installed Bermuda in all the yards, not my choice but had no say. Yard is about a year old and is very sparse. You can see from the pictures that the lower area where the water drains and flows is thicker but everywhere else is coarse and thin....

re: Thinking of moving out of Louisiana and to the Tampa area. - Tiger31
We did it when my second boy was 1. Wanted a better life than what BR could offer. Picked up and left everything and everyone we knew to move to Charlotte. That was in 2019 and could t be happier with the move. You will not regret it....

re: Nothing is more depressing than a dragged-out job search - Tiger31
I also paid for the LinkedIn Premium or whatever it’s called. I’m not sure that it helped any but I was at the point of leaving no stone unturned. Look at what is involved and it might be appealing to you. As far as job sites, I only used LinkedIn or specific company sites. There are way too m...

re: Nothing is more depressing than a dragged-out job search - Tiger31
I should have added, they are not miracle workers but at least you will know your resume is getting thorough the applicant software. I went through a search 2 years ago and went this route after months of wondering if my resume was holding me up. It’s just one less thing to worry about in this mis...

re: Nothing is more depressing than a dragged-out job search - Tiger31
Best advice is to go on Linked in and pay for someone to write your resume. You can request a quote and will get one from 3 companies. While it feels like a waste of money, these companies are experts at getting your resume through the applicant tracking software....

re: Landscape Design Assistance - Tiger31
Sorry to hijack but I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for how to plan out a bed yourself. We are putting in a smaller flower bed in our backyard in North Carolina. It’s not big enough to warrant a professional planning it out but also don’t want to go to a nursery and just guess at wh...

re: 4Runner or Atlas or Palisade? - Tiger31
I bought a new Palisade last March. Did a ton of research and was considering the Atlas and Subaru Ascent. Could not be happier with my choice, great car. We have the captain chairs in the second row and I added leather seats separately instead of upgrading to the package that included them....

Thanks for the reply. I’m doing floating shelves due to having some items stored lower that would get in the way of the supports. Your design would be easier but I need the floor space....

Wood Shelf Question - Tiger31
This weekend I’m planning to build a wooden shelf for my garage. I’ve never built a shelf before but the plans using triangle bracing seems simple enough. I intend to do 12 inch braces (12 inches out from wall and 12 inches vertical). If my shelf will be 18 inches wide, is 12 inches of bracing en...
