Thanks for the compliment, you’ve obviously been sniffing glue again. The thing about happiness is that it’s fleeting. Right when you think you have it, a loved one dies or some jackass tbones you in your car or somebody is intentionally malevolent to you. Life really is suffering. It’s inescapable. So to get you through those unbearable days we all have to contend with, we seek meaning.

I think if we seek meaning actively and consciously, through taking stock of our blessings ( health ,friends, love, etc) we are more likely to find it. Having a purpose, being of service to others, being selfless etc- these things give our lives depth that just doing fun stuff lacks.

And once we have that meaning, Then we can indulge in the hookers and coke, lol.

I’m really struggling with life right now. I’ve worked my arse off on multiple fronts, but am just average.

As hard and as much time as I’ve put in at work, im basically middle to upper management for life earning just enough to think I’m rich, but will never have f*** you money.

Have devoted most of my life to my hobbies, but I’ll never really be good enough to make money at them.

Finally got engaged and now she is prob a couple weeks from leaving me because I’m already boring.

I’m now early 40s wondering why I’m even alive. If I died tomorrow, anyone who cares would be over it in a week or two.

I get on here and troll for laughs, but I know people are laughing at me and not with me. I wish I could be that guy that goes to the bar and is happy just sitting at a table and drinking but that makes me more depressed so I keep working hard at my craft to be average.

Finding the desire in you to post this thread already convinces me that my life is better than yours.

Yep. The OP is a Reddit or 4-Chan incel who projects an image of something else on the net.

Yea...no. Life is what you make it. The good and the bad included.

I do agree with rocket on one thing and that is I feel bad for those that settle. I don't mean settling with a spouse. I just mean settling overall. Find new challenges and tackle them. Challenges can come in a variety of things be it career, moving to a new city/country, a new hobby, health goals, etc.

I think too many people are miserable because they see social media and think someone is doing better than them then get mad that they have settled in life. It can be seen everyday on this board with people so jealous of anything/anyone they perceive as doing better than they are. I used to be guilty of it until I decided to quit settling and do more.

The OP is a trust fund Bernie voter. His whole meaning in life is superficial.
