At what age did you accept that you just accept reality?

It took a while to own it but I think I’m finally hitting that moment. I try like hell to not be one but it just happens.

I think assholes are mostly fake It's way easier to be nice. Also, funny how assholes can be assholes towards everyone but then their boss, wife, parent walks in and they instantly change. It's a fake persona. The ones that are truly assholes are on meds.

Most humans if not all have that side to them. Try to fight it and be the best person you can be. Giving in to those feelings is easy. It’s up to you. Take the easy way out?

I’d say somewhere around mid 40s. Depends on what your goals are. I was always grinding and working my arse off to be the best at some sort of sport or hobby. Got close a couple of times but at around 40ish, you just realize it isn’t going to happen and lose the motivation for the grind you know it takes.
The adjustment period is pretty depressing, but eventually you realize relationships and time shared with loved ones will last forever. Time is undefeated and we all age out of surface level things. It still sucks tho to accept mediocrity.

I mean we all have our moments where we kinda suck, but we’re social creatures by design, so I don’t buy that someone “is just an a-hole”.
