They can label me however they want, but I generally can hang out with poor, middle class and wealthy and enjoy myself.

We are upper class based on our area which I find kind of hard to believe.

NYT says top 5% for my age and region.

Sure as hell doesn’t feel like it...

This is the OT. We are so rich we don't even have "income." We have lawyers who devise methods of shielding capital gains through trusts and foundations.

Really?

39% of college educated married white couples under 45 make that. Is it really that farfetched to think a message board that is associated with a prominently white University, made up of mainly individuals under 45 would have those stats?

But a teacher and a welder can make damn close to that if he is making a bunch of ot. A operator and a teach are making it. Lineman and a teacher etc etc etc...I think you get the picture.

$145k household income isn't that much in the grand scheme.

All OTers are firmly in the upper bracket. Leather bound books populate the walls of our office.

Household makes 230+ a year. Top 23%

I guarantee I'm not in the upper 1/3 for my parish. Lot of plants in Iberville.

Thought I was middle but according to that I’m upper. I guess for New Orleans I’m well off. I’d be middle in a place like NYC.

What side of Houston?

Yeah, I'm in League City. I chose other.

Was playing with the numbers, at $142,000 I'd be middle class with 51%, at 143,000 I'd be upper with 19%.

If you forget to put the three* zeros to your income, you will be in the lower income tier. Or lower intellegenge tier, whatever. I was upper income for a middle aged Yat after doing it right.

* - the fact that there were only 3 zeros to omit proves I ain't a ballah.
