If I were wealthy enough to think that spending 100k on a vehicle is a good idea I damn sure hope I'd be smart enough to spend it on something other than a jeep

Spending 100k on a new Jeep Cherokee makes zero sense.

The darn McIntosh meters are a sweet Design though...very unique

Wish GMC had a digital design option like that...

BTW...can you even buy a new Truck these days? The last time I went to dealership they had 1 Truck on the lot.

One!

To each their own.
I don’t think you can say all $100k car purchases are dumb, but a $100k Jeep just feels like a dumb decision.

You are like people telling me I need a shelter dog because its my fault the shelters are full.
How about I buy my car and donate to charity !

I don’t care how much money you have, $100k on a Jeep is very dumb.

I’d imagine a decent percentage of the $100k+ car owners don’t come close to maxing out their 401k each year, don’t have 529s for their kids, didn’t put much money down on their house, and probably have a several loans outside of just a home and car loan.

You donate 50k first.

My personal driving needs and habits in no way call for a vehicle costing $100K.

Financing, yes.

Buying outright, no.

I drive a 91 Jeep YJ. It gets crap MPG, but I paid cash for it and it runs like a champ. I drive older vehicles (80 Series Land Cruiser before this Jeep) because they are easier to work on and I just generally like older vehicles.

My wife drives a 2020 Honda Odyssey. She will keep it 10 years, like the Honda Pilot she had before.

I refuse to pay $100k for an SUV or Truck out of principal.

If i was OT rich, I’d maybe spend that much on a Land Cruiser because they hold their value so well. No way on a god damn Jeep.

Well unless they start making them cheaper a lot more people will be paying 100k for vehicles in the next few years.
I really wish the automakers would go back to making base models without all the electronic crap attached to it. I can crank my own windows and adjust my own mirrors, thanks. Just because suburban dad that may haul a bag of potting soil once every year feels the need to buy a truck with all of the ridiculous bells and whistles of an SUV doesn't mean we need that as the base model. I can turn my head and see what's behind me without needing a backup camera, thanks. Also, I live in Louisiana - there's no need to charge an extra grand or two for heated seats. I'll survive the occasional 20° morning.

Idiots.

Unless you truly have frick you type money, buying generic cars over 100k is just insane.

If you're a collector, or a car person, whatever it's your money.

Just bought a used truck, paid 37k and had 62000 miles. Blessed to find this deal.

F250’s are on their way to 100k and will probably be there in the next 15 years.

There is a point where the systems cracks and then fails. Keep raising the price and sooner or later, no one buys them because they can't.
