Finally got my email this morning saying that I had Auto-renewed. Would make sense to send those before Oct 1 and save a bunch of stress and phone calls.
The Overpayment Contractor Scam
This targets tree removal businesses and results in random homeowners' trees being mistakenly cut down.
• The Setup: A scammer finds a home for sale on Zillow and pretends to be the new out-of-town buyer. They text a real tree service to cut down a major tree on the property immediately.
• The Trap: They send a fake or stolen check for more than the job's price, asking the tree company to wire the "accidental overpayment" back to them.
• The Damage: The tree company cuts down an innocent person's century-old tree before realizing the check bounced and the "owner" was a fraudster.

Sounds like Oman Air did the right thing. Curious how he hired on with FlyDubai. Sounds like they didn’t dig in too deeply on why wage was moved to an admin role.

The Trump accounts will probably be near $100k when I convert them. Plus if they don’t use their full 529s, I’ll stack more on top.
Each of my kids got $250 from Mike and Susan Dell. They don’t get the govt money but free money is free money. Plus they’ll have a head start on retirement when I convert their accounts to Roths at 18.

I think we are just witnessing the collapse of the old (state) superpowers. Just like Europe gave way to the US. California/NY are beginning to give way to traditional sections of the country.

Got something in the mail today and apparently they are going to a new 3rd party administrator (probably a fallout of the hacking event). It claims expanded investment options but feels like fewer to me. Pretty much all of the Vanguard funds will map to either US Equity Index or International Equity index. Hopefully these are still vanguard funds with vanguard expense ratios.
