I’ve had Amazon Prime for around four years. Great service until the onset of COVID. Now, I can understand some shipping delays last year and the first few months of this year, but come on. I haven’t had Amazon successfully deliver on the real purpose for having Prime in over a year. My last Prime order was placed on May 29, it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, June 4. I know that some people haven’t had the same experience as me because they live in different areas, but I’m pretty sure that we all pay the same price for the service.

Most people would prefer to get the service that they pay for, but, by all means, continue to play OT douche.

it's definitely hit or miss, but the stuff I buy is so stupid I honestly don't usually notice if it's a day or two late

it is aggravating when I do think about the principle of it, but there's not much I'm willing to do about it either

I'm still getting most things in 2 days, sometimes 3,4. It's not a big deal generally. If you look at the date before you place the order you will know if it will be available for 2 day delivery.

What are you hoping to achieve from this post? To bring awareness to people that Amazon Prime shipping is taking longer than advertised?

Actually, I was hoping to learn whether or not Amazon has any plans of returning to the promise of pre-Covid Prime. It was a great convenience, and the OT is a fount of knowledge.

I think the answer is “yes” for the most part, although it will be interesting to see how all of these fulfillment/distribution centers cropping up affect their delivery times.

The thing is.. now I actually use Prime Video so I don’t really want to cancel it. I’d be curious to know whether the free 2-day shipping was always just a strategy to get everyone hooked on their other services while they gained momentum. If so, it was a pretty brilliant marketing move on their part when you think about it.

Amazon itself is largely becoming not worth it. Most reviews are fake, products are not authentic, the prices are higher than most other places, and yeah, the two day shipping appears to be a thing of the past for almost all products. I went from ordering multiple items a week to maybe once a month or so because you can get better deals with faster shipping from other sources.

I had 3 packages on 3 seperate days that all came in 2 days or less this week. I think it largely depends on where you live

Yes. As more things are sold online from different vendors, it will be more difficult to offer everything in 2 days.

Still beats the alternative

99% of stuff I order is back to 2 day....I'm expecting some things to go to next day once we get the distro center up and running in Carencro.
