Are ‘man caves’ pathetic?

My wife and I share a house. We both enjoy all aspects of the house. I don’t have to ask permission to have my hole where I can be myself.
How pathetic that some guys have to have much less brag about having a ‘man cave’. Just think it’s pathetic.

You are lucky.... once I put a ring on it the deer heads ended up at the office and now that I am semi retired they have ended up in the garage. A man needs his space

Yea I guess I'm pathetic for wanting to have a place to display my LSU memorabilia, beer fridge and dart board.....damn I just hate my life
also.... just because it's my man cave don't mean that's all it is. I mean she don't really wanna go near it when the game is on, but I've had many an awesome night killing beers, shooting darts and blowing out the speakers in that room with my wife... sorry yours sucks

I mean I get it if the guy is super "no girls allowed" and all that bullshite, but I never got the hate for man caves. In fact I'd consider it a courtesy to the wife if the guy wants to have loud arse sports/video games going on or having friends over. Confine the mess and noise to one room!
