I had a couple of friends that were owners of pet stores in Clearwater as a hobby. He was a former bank VP and her Dad was GM at Chevy. Each year she got a new corvette from Dad. Spike was an exotic sports car fan. Each time I came into the main store and she had a new car to show off, she would toss me keys and say “Parked in the back” I’ve driven everything. The Lamborghini was a rattle trap, the Ferrari worth the drive, Lotus was a damned skateboard on steroids. The fastest I’ve gone was 195 on a straight run.
She tried to hook me up with a friend of hers that had leopard as a pet. Couldn’t deal with the thought of having a woman with a pet that could literally eat me.

And over half the posts are people telling you that yes they've driven over one hundred. We wonder about reading comprehension

When I was 15 I was driving with a friend to an All Star baseball game in Ruston(from Monroe).
We were running behind so I was going a little over the speed limit. Next thing I know 2 cars fly by me, so I catch up a follow. We’re going back and forth between 95 - 105.
After about 5 minutes a cop pulls up beside me and motions for me to follow him. He then pulls over the other two cars and I pull over as well. A few seconds later 4-5 more cops pull up and surround the other two cars. The cop that initiated the stop comes to my car, sees that we’re in baseball uniforms and tells me to slow my arse down before I get arrested and tells us to head out.
I never found out what those other 2 cars did, but it had to be pretty bad for them to get that much attention and for me to be let go without even getting a warning. I know, CSB.

They definitely have some zip and handle well over 80 if your tires are balanced and aligned.

16 with a 68 roadrunner. It had a 120 mph speedometer but the needle would keep going until you "buried" it (so far to the right you can't see it). I did it twice, around 130 mph. You'd think more, but the older factory speedometers would read fast and the upper end. May be have closer to 120.

Fastest I ever went was 88. Then I saw a bunch of sparks and bright light.

145 is tops in a car and 155 on a motorcycle.
I couldn't have imagined that there was ever a teenager or 20 something year old that didn't at some point try and top out there vehicle but according to this thread they didn't.
I know the top speed of every vehicle I've ever owned

The only vehicle I have ever owned that I didn't see 100 in was my LR Defender, because it couldn't.
My current car the max I have seen is just over 180. I have been over 200 a handful of times.
Some cars feel fast at 90, some don't feel fast until over 140-150.

This makes me wonder, what's the fastest you've driven a vehicle? I did 120 mph in a Mercury Grand Marquis then the computer limited it.

I drive on the autobahn almost daily. I set my cruise control at 170 km/h which is about 105 mph.

110-115 is my personal highest. Never had a strong need for speed. 115 in a convertible on river road by lsu was plenty for me

When I first got my license my father traded in his 1961 Buick with a monster engine for a Ford Fairlane 500 with a piss-ant engine. 100 mph was not in the cards.
Never had a thing for muscle cars, but I still miss that 1948 Chevrolet Sport Coupe Deluxe. It was like driving while sitting on a big soft sofa.

My first time driving over 100 mph was in a '91 Oldsmobile Cutless Supreme It was one of the first sedans available that had 16 inch wheels.

What do you mean by mph? 100 meters per hour?
Yeah, I've driven a car over 100 meters per hour. That is the equivalent of .062 miles per hour.

I’m sure that’s most interstate highways in the country. Does this surprise you

Couple years ago in my widebody challenger I really wasn’t paying attention with the radio going. It wasn’t until I was going around a curve and felt the Gs that I noticed I was cruising at 132. Car is fast and easy to zip past 100.
In HS I had my old Plymouth roadrunner to around 115. That was definitely a different feeling with no overdrive transmission and that old 340 screaming.

I had a thunderbird that had a V8 in it when I was in highschool. Think it maxed out at like 122 or something like that.
