Anyone NOT driven a car over 100 mph?

I appreciate that for many, driving is simply an A to B exercise. For others highway speed limit signs are merely advisory.
Personally - a greenie at heart - I won't allow carbon buildup on my pistons. For example, I remember finding the speed limiter on my G37S soon after break-in.

every car I've had has gone over 100 with me at the wheel.
When I bought both of my previous mustangs, they exceeded it within an hour of purchase. Gotta test it to make sure it works, or something like that.

I've probably maxed out in the high 80s

I may or may not have hit 155 in the middle of nowhere in a Colorado valley with nobody around. The VW Golf I may or may not have been driving may or may not have had its governor cut fuel to perhaps cap the speed at 155.
May or may not. Not an admission of guilt.

107 is my personal max in a safe setting before the car said no faster

I have not and don't intend to at my old age. Seen way too many wrecks in my lifetime.

Had a crotch rocket in my early 20s and got it up to 165 on the highway. I still had a lot of throttle left to go at that speed.
Best thing I ever did was sell that death trap. They always say "it's not you, it's the drivers around you". Yeah that's a bunch of crap. It was 100% me that was going to get myself in trouble.

With a Tesla you can hit 100 in the blink of an eye and not even realize it. Modern cars are so smooth 100 feels like 70.

I totally agree, many in my profession unfortunately don't have any common sense. I always let off the accelerator when another truck was attempting to pass me.

I've hit 90 once and immediately backed off. I'm flesh and bones and solid surfaces win 100% of the time at that speed.

Many times as I used to race (dragstrip, VIR).
But, what sticks out is the most annoyed (and somewhat scared) I've ever been was as a passenger in a 340 Duster (hot cammed motor) in the backwoods of southern Alabama back in the late 70's.
A friend of my cousins took us out for a late night ride on a dirt road at over 100 mph multiple times, with a belly of beer (and weed) in us. Thought I was gonna die but mostly pissed off at this idiot. Wonder if he made it to 30.
