1) Take ferry to Sausalito and have lunch. Or better, take ferry to Tiburon and have lunch.
2) Legion of Honor museum in Richmond district.
3) Hike from Sutro Baths to Legion of Honor. Great hike along pacific with views of Golden Gate.
4) Drive Hwy 35 south from San Francisco and drop down into Half Moon Bay. Come back up along Hwy 1.
5) Golden Gate Park is underrated. Get Chinese food in Sunset District

Muir Woods sucks anyway, go to Big Basin Redwoods State Park. You could go to Lodi instead of Sonoma/Napa if you're dead set on visiting wineries (no power issues out there)...its a great wine region known for Zin grapes. Or road trip to Tahoe, it's beautiful and only a 3 hour drive.

Go to Sacramento where the power is still on, managed by SMUD not PG&E. Decently cool town, close by.

Basically try to find a SMUD service map of the area, it will all have electricity.

It's the shitty socialists, and their shitty socialist government that sucks. Try to keep up.
I have friends and family not far from Yuba City, where I was born. Really just depends on your interests. I would probably head to Tahoe.

Murphy's, CA should be fairly close (1-2 hour drive away). It's an old gold mining town that has turned into a wine town. 20 or so tasting rooms on their main street. When we visited, we found a VRBO house one block away from the main street. You can do all the wine tasting and eating and walk home easily.

Drive down to Carmel, Monterrey and Big Sur. Play golf at Pebble Beach. Horseback ride on the beach. Picnic at Big Sur. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping, exploring and beach at Carmel.

That is what you get for visiting that cesspool of a state. Leave and never return. YW

Head south and 17 mile drive. Also some great wine tasting available in PASO Robles area and south of San Francisco in general.
