Wife and I are on vacation. Got absolutely blindsided and fricked by this dumbass power outage. Can’t visit Muir Woods and things we had planned in Sonoma, Napa and Santa Rosa are all fricked now also. Anyone have suggestions on how we can fill the next 3 days? The only thing that hasn’t been screwed up for us is visiting Alcatraz. TIA.

Take a couple hours drive an visit Yosemite. Even if you have to get a hotel you’re still going to lose if you don’t do anything on your vacation.

Sounds like the prime opportunity to join a homeless camp and shite in the streets.

Go to south to Carmel and Monterey. The drive through Pebble Beach is pretty awesome.

Not local but visited several times...

Walk across Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy the views, take some pics.

Visit the beach and Seal Rocks.

Go down to Half Moon Bay.

We flew into LA and already went through Monterey and the likes on the way north along the coast. Nothing going right for us on this trip. Ran into dense fog on our day driving through Big Sur so couldn’t see anything. Now this shite. Yosemite is going to be a stretch for us, but I’m considering it at this point.

There's Fort Point underneath the Golden Gate on the far end of Golden Gate Park. The Presidio is still kinda cool but has been sold out to commercial interests a bit.

I love Land’s End park. You can hike all over it. China Town to Coit Tower is cool stroll. Model sailboat races in the GG park. The Japanese gardens.

I could name a ton of things, you’re in SF, go enjoy.

Consider the town of Mariposa. Close enough to get in and out. Some decent hotels if they have vacancies.

Russian River valley is pretty nice as is Mendocino. Of course, it's harvest season, so anything in wine country will be limited or expensive as far as lodging goes.

Go do a liquor tasting at St. George Spirits in Alameda, then walk next door to Faction Brewing.

First I'm seeing of this power outage, but you don't sound like someone that just wants to make the best of it.

Have you considered changing your flights out of somewhere else and just going elsewhere? Maybe drive back to LA or somewhere not affected?
