Had a woman come to my front door right now. Said, I am not interested in your party, have a nice day.

She asked me why? I told her your party has gone loco.

Very tired of them.

No but I told two black preachers that came to my door that they have been bamboozled by whitey. Does that count?

Are you a registered independent? They usually have an app that tells them what houses to go to and they skip staunch voters of the opposite party.

At least it's not sales or religion. Grass roots campaigning is probably the only door-to-door interaction that's forgivable.

I don’t answer the door. Also have a no solicitation sign so technically they’re trespassing. I’ve called the law on them several times.

I’ve been doing this thing recently where I hear them out. They’re entire pitch. Ask a few questions and try to get them to waste 10-15min explaining things to me.

Then I say “no thanks, not interested” and close the door.

Our neighborhood is registered with the Sheriff as no soliciting. Do the door to door people know, care or abide by it? Nope.

I also detest the little business signs for tree service or whatever at the subdivision sign. I always get out my car and remove them.

Doesn't apply to free speech /politics
Can it be annoying? Sure. Just don't answer the door or just answer and tell them to leave

The ones that insist you can tell them, well now you've just convinced me to vote for your opponent

And solicitors for roofing, window replacement, internet/tv services, pest control, blah blah blah. Every month one or two of those ring or knock. Grrrrrrr

Just tell them that you lost your voting rights when the man sent you to prison.

Because my subdivision entrance isn’t a billboard.

True but not the streets in a neighborhood, and I was responding to a post saying that their neighborhood had told the sheriffs they don't want it

When responding to a person's post, perhaps just a suggestion: maybe read the post that they're responding to

So you are saying they know who votes for who?

In Ohio they know which primary ballot you pulled(closed primary, but you can change you political affiliation on election day), how often you vote in primaries and generals, and use that info to engage with likely voters that are independent or have pulled a primary ballot for the party.
