Got over that fear long before my age hit double digits.

Don't understand an adult having a fear of the dark------especially around their own home.

The aliens aren’t afraid of the TV on and they can phase through the closed door. You’re still gonna get your butt probed one way or the other

This is just straight up misinformation. The tv show that did the anal probing got cancelled years ago.

No, I'm not afraid of them. Not alot of them here in Idaho.

Oh, you meant the dark. Nevermind.

You should be..

Not going to lie, there have been plenty of times I get nervous in the dark but it's when I'm walking to a stand or going turkey hunting in the morning. But it's more that I'm nervous about walking up on a hog or stepping on a snake.

Reached a conclusion: people on this site are too dumb for sarcasm and deadpan humor. Thank god I went out of state for my degree to say the least.

What strategies do you use to make it to the morning?

Covers. Wrap them around your head, leaving an opening only for your mouth and nose. This will protect you from monsters until morning.

Oh, I always like the dark.

My bedroom is so dark, plantation blinds, with lined curtains.

Loved working the night shift.

Like driving at night.

Always liked fire training, going into a burning building with a Scott Air-Pak, [self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)].

Night Fishing and Hunting.

I can sleep in a brightly lite room or in the dark, no problem. The issue is my ears, there has to be some light, even a pinpoint, or I get vertigo. I need a reference to let me know up from down or I get dizzy.

Hello darkness, my old friend...

Seriously, I would fear living in the people's Republik of New York more than I ever feared the darkness.

Not really related but I was thinking about this the other day: imagine how terrifying it would be to break into the home of someone else in the pitch black of night. No idea about layout, occupants, dogs, cameras, weapons, etc. If someone kicked my door in at 3am and it's not law enforcement or military, I'M the one with the advantage.
