I love Nola and the Saints. I wouldn't want to live there with my wife and kids but I do not hate the city at all.

Despise? No.
Wouldn't live there due to the crappy job market, high housing costs, and high insurance costs, but I don't have ill will toward it.

I’m not a fan of New Orleans. I don’t hate NOLA, but it’s just not for me. I don’t mesh well with the city.
But I do love the Saints. Always have.

I love the city.
Think it’s a shame that I no longer can conceive of living there.
That was an idea when I just got out of school. Do a year or two working at Charity and live somewhere in the quarter. This would have been 1999ish. Never did though. Sad to think it would be lunacy now. Hell may have been then. I’d have cirrhosis and the clap.

NO has a ton of things wrong with it but has one of the richest histories/most unique cultures of any city in the US.
