All the time the older I get. I've learned a while back to listen to the universe and just say frick it, I see what kind of day this is going to be and take a day off from work and the stresses of life and just relax. even if its just for a few hours.

Try to focus your attention on the present and practice gratitude and hope.

There's something very satisfying about sitting in a bar or restaurant for lunch while you know everyone else is working.
Very much so. My wife and friends think I’m weird but if I’m traveling alone for work or just want some alone time there is nothing better than sitting at a bar alone, ordering when and what I want and leaving when I want.

I’ve got a phlebotomist that legit brought an Alaskan crab boil bag to her blood station/table and started mealing on it within 6 inches of her specimens.
I wonder what the Infection Preventionist would say about that

Sounds like you could use this.

I did this 17 years ago. Recommend. Im trying to make it even more extreme in the next 18 months. Family, church (which happens to be awesome), and wilderness. ‘Merca.

Are you dealing with idiots in your hunting club also? That’s how I feel every year at this time of year trying to collect money for membership dues.

We all have our bad days from time to time. With that being said, please get back to the fry station. The lunch rush is about to start. Thanks

Driving to the office Monday, I started off annoyed in traffic. A Chevy 1500 was driving like an a-hole tailgating everyone and weaving in and out of traffic and almost ran 2 people off the road. He managed to get about 2 to 3 minutes ahead of me. I know this because a little ways down the road there was a motorcycle police officer that had pulled him over and when I drove by, the officer was chewing him a new one.
So that was satisfying.
So that was satisfying.

I’ve seen the movie. Falling Down. Didn’t end well for the lead character.

You sound like my woman most days.
I am grateful I'm not a miserable faqbutt.

It's just one of those days
When you don't wanna wake up
Everything is fricked
Everybody sucks
You don't really know why
But you wanna justify
Rippin' someone's head off
No human contact
And if you interact
Your life is on contract
Your best bet is to stay away, motherfricker

I've never taken a mental health day in my life but I am highly considering it right now. My employees are idiots, the company I work for is asinine, random morons are everywhere. I just want to quit and go to the house.
I would posit that you have allowed things to get out of hand....may not have had any control over it but ultimately its all on you. I gave up being a victim of morons years ago...I now assume everyone is going to act a damned fool at times and seldom am I disappointed...I set extremely low expectations for other people....and they seldom fail to live up to and exceed those expectations. Its all a matter of perspective.
My wife will get pissed off to the point of contemplating killing someone for cutting her off in traffic. I assume everyone driving is going to cut me off in traffic. Most do not, which is very pleasing, and when the relative few do it is not shocking. Having very low expectations of others is very liberating.
