Any of you OT'ers big into "going out dancing" with the S/O?

Talking "slow dancing" (ie: waltzes) and things like jitterbug, etc.
I've never been big into dancing outside of wedding receptions and things like that, but I've always admired those couples that could glide around a dance floor like it was second nature.
A couple of weeks ago, the wife and I went to a benefit in Thibodaux and had a great time dancing. Also, there was a lot of older people there that were really great at it.
I think it was a lot bigger of a thing for the generation of my parents and earlier. But I'm guessing it's still very popular in some parts of the state.

Good for him

We go two stepping twice a month usually. I can throw down pretty good on a country music dance floor. But that's a big thing in Texas, not so much in Louisiana from what I've seen. We two step, half step, waltz, and polka to good country music. Fun times and it's so easy that almost anyone can do it.

I used to love to take women out swing dancing when I was dating.

I went to that place in Lafayette where the zydeco band plays and everyone dances in a big circle with the wife. I was shite hammered but I remember having a good time

That's about the only time you'll ever see me dancing

My ex and I would do so every few months or so. I always enjoyed it, and so did she.

I just remember going to the Texas Club about 10 years ago to two step and they line danced to every. damn. song. It was either the freeze or electric slide all night. It was embarrassing.

Kinda wish I had put a bit of effort into learning it well when I was younger.
On the other hand, I know enough to enjoy myself and appreciate the experts.

My old man called it Jukin.
My wife and "go out" 2-3 times a month. I'm a good swing dancer (can also 2step, salsa, etc.). Most of the time I figure I'm the best male dancer in most places we go that have live music. And guess what, all the ladies want to dance with me.
When I was single I'd ask ladies to dance and most of them said no, at first. Until they saw me dance. After a while they'd be asking me.
I've told my single baws for years to take dance lessons. I'll never forget the one kid who actually listened and learned salsa. Every time I'd see him out he'd have a string of girls waiting on him.
Yeah, I know what all this sounds like, but I'm here to say it's not that difficult to learn and actually alot of fun. And the benefits are obvious.

Theres a couple where I'm from that show up to every fair/benefit and they straight cut the rug, really impressive. I'd love to be able to dance like that with the wife. I remember going to weddings and stuff as a kid and the people of my parents generation would tear it up. My grandmother and grandfather were great dances as well.
