I’d offer to buy you a beer, but you could probably pay for mine and get it expensed.

Driving a company truck with a max speed of 78 is a blast down 285.

Midland is better than ND... Talk about in the middle of nowhere -- North Dakota is brutal. I've been all over the world with the oilfield and Williston has very few redeeming qualities.

Most places in this business are not very nice to work. I can think of 4 nice places I worked. Colorado, Washington State on the Columbia River, Canadian Rockies and on the coast in California. Washington was my favorite. The rig stayed broken down so we got paid nearly a full month to fish and hit vineyards.

I used to unplug the canadian trucks tracker. shite would beep at 70 mph. So you couldnt even do the speed limit without hearing that shite.

You can't get away with that anymore. If I'm 10 minutes behind on my JM those people will start blowing up my phone with texts and calls.

It blows! Literally! It isn’t as bad as Pecos or the Carlsbad, NM area, but it isn’t much higher in my book.

I will be in Hobbs, NM and Skellytown, TX the week of May 7. I will let you know how many tumbleweeds I count.

I don't think you can do it.

Not only because I don't think you can count very high, but also because there will be a lot of them

When we had to evacuate our norcal home due to wildfire, I suggested to wife we go live at her mom's in Midland. Said no.
We camped hereabouts instead, first with her cousin and then my sister. She would not go back to Midland even for a few months. Went to high school there. Her cousins glorious house burned in the recent Santa Rosa fire.
I just bought a new house with cash. Can't wait for summer fires.
