I like eating beef on Fridays this time of year. Should be discounted for those that don't let religion dictate diet. But hey at least it's not as crazy os kosher or halal requirements.

When my Dad was in the hospital, one of the volunteers, noting that his religion was listed as Catholic, asked if he wanted to see a priest.
He asked why, and she said, well, maybe you want to have confession.

In college we used to go to bright side bar, and I think it was 20 bucks for as much crawfish / keg beer until it ran out. Led to great times, but definitely not a sacrifice to God.

Back in high school during Lent, we’d get back from an all day Friday track meet and fire up the grill and time it perfect for burgers and steaks to be ready right at midnight. Kids.
