Shitty beer like Corona & Bud light has probably turned them off of beer altogether and they're missing out on the good stuff..

Outside of college or dive bars, any place you go should have a decent selection of whiskey.

not to mention the average person can drink a frick ton more beer than cocktails or glasses of wine.

for example, me and wifey went out last weekend, here is what our bar tab looked like:

Klark:
7 Coors Light
1 shot of tequila.

Wifey:
3 gin and tonics

Yeah, I'm sure you can tell by stuff like that. I was tagging along, so it definitely wasn't my choice. Besides the hassle of having to wait on the bar it was a nice place.

Honestly I think it has more to do with people that stop drinking shitty beer like Bud/Bud Light/Coors, etc.

Then when they look at craft beer prices they realize for slightly more they can get a full blown cocktail. Also the rising popularity of mixology places has something to do with it as well.

I mean if you're drinking whiskey and sprite usually the whiskey choice isn't super crucial

interesting. I don't believe I've ever seen wine on tap.

wat

How is that possible at this point? Pretty much all the most popular bars currently in NOLA and some other cities I have been to recently were wine on tap bars.

Pretty ubiquitous currently.

Cocktails on tap are now increasingly becoming a thing, and I've now seen Sake and Soju on tap as well.

That’s kinda my point. Whiskey with coke or sprite is a college kid drink.

Usually with plastic bottle whiskey.

I don’t really frequent bars anymore, and typically I just stick to beer anyway.

This. Why pay $6 for some hipster beer when you can get a decent bourbon for $8?

It’s not about cost for everyone.

If I want beer, I’ll get a beer. If I want wine, I’ll get wine.

I don’t make my choice of drink based on the price. It’s going to be marked up to shite no matter what drink you get.

cocktails on tap? i can't tell if you're fricking with me or not

I don't live in nola or go there much. wine on tap is interesting nonetheless.

I stick to whiskey, bourbon and beer
