Any collegiate or professional sports. BLM killed pro sports for me. NIL killed college sports for me.

Got our first grandchild this year. Look forward to watching him play sports so I can have something to enjoy again.

Family and community unity. What divorce didn’t destroy, culture and politics finished off. Christmas at Grandma’s was epic; real food was delicious, opening presents was a blast, fireworks at night fun and the house was packed like a can of sardines. You could leave your gun on the rack in your truck at school or town and jump anybody’s fence and hunt on their property; fences were for livestock and not people. Friday night football and little league with meal afterwards with zero trouble. And heroes were elevated to their status for true heroic action. Rural life in the 50’s was the epitome of the ‘American Dream’. I suspect the future be relative degrees of virtual reality like “The Matrix “ if we don’t get things back on track. Real has become too much to bear for many. Lord help us.

Playing basketball. Played till in my 40's but I'd always get hurt and I'm not nearly as good at it and that hurts my pride. So I had to call it quits.

A stress-free life.

I miss the days of feeling relaxed and not feeling the weight of the world on my back.

I played basketball every Sunday night for close to 10 years…. Moved to Texas and stopped and have had absolutely zero interest to ever play again… weird how that works.

Reading the sports page & comics in the newspaper after school. Getting magazines in the mail like Sports Illustrated, MAD, & Beckett Baseball Price Guide.

Hope. I achieved all of my goals and realized the work I put in wasn't worth it. Now I just feel like I'm wandering alone in the desert waiting for night to come.

Watching my boys play football/sports.

Having to put down my kid's lifetime dog at 2am after an accident.

I realize if you're lucky, you get to do all that again as grandparents. Glad I realized how special it was at the time and did all I could to support them.

Being in school. I was shell shocked the first year I worked. Always bitched about school and classes and my part time job. Then I got slapped in the face with a full time job in a big city with 2 weeks vacation. The first holidays that came, it hit me, there is no time off. Only the crap vacation they give you, and then when you take it, you still feel guilty.

So school coming to an end.... and being slapped in the face by the real world.

Football and college/pro sports in general. I don't enjoy them at all anymore.

This one I can't blame on anything but my own interest......I wish I still loved them as much as when I was a kid but I'm just not really interested anymore idk why

I think maybe all the info that was on the back of the card now being available in my pocket at any time may have something to do with it

I would come back to it every few years. I could buy some boxes of my favorite and get great pulls but now I can't justify to myself to spend that kind of money.

Hellway more recent than that

Go look at the 03/07 championship teams.

It’s Louisiana and east Texas boys with a few Florida sprinkled in. No transfer shite either

People having respect for others and a society that doesn't feel that they are owed something.

Also, crawfish prices from the 80`s and 90`s

Hell , better yet just bring the whole decade of the 80`s and 90`s back.

One more thing bring Baton Rouge back to what it was before Katrina

I used to be involved in a bunch of Mardi Gras krewes. Rode in several of them and involved in ball activities. Kinda halted all after Covid. Now, I just go watch the parades and equally as happy.
