There are at least 20 people, on this board alone, who fill this bill.

They're called NNN leases.

I have notice that they do a really good job of hiring popular people to work the doors and be bouncers. These people in turn bring their like minded friends

I figured this is what every college bar does

Didn't he stalk somebody

Yea among other things. Here's a good summary in the Pelican Post about it. He was clearly smart enough to tapdance around the laws.
Pelican Post article about Painter.

quote:

Amid sordid allegations that he had “sexually harassed” and “stalked” the woman who had served as his Administrative Assistant, Painter would eventually face 42 criminal counts in federal court.  13 of the counts, for computer fraud and identity theft, were dismissed before the jury found him “Not Guilty” on 29, and Painter has spent much of the last year trying to vindicate himself and his name in civil court

hen we had nickel draft at Snorkels across the street.

I remember that when I turned 18. Pay $1 and had to carry 20 cups of beer to the table.

A couple of my friends got jumped in that carwash btw there and the Tiger. A group of darker skinned fellas were hanging out in the shadows and pounced on them when they were walking between the bars. Glad I didn't go out that night, they got beat pretty good.

Yep. With $5 you could get pretty damn drunk if you had space to set your cups. $3 tip, 20 beers and $1 tip. Good to go!

One night I got in a fight in that carwash bay. December 93. It was a shite show of pushing cussin and rasslin and then, as the dude drove around behind the Tiger and came back up the side, I threw a 2x4 at his truck about 50 feet away. It went 7 feet and straight into Tiger Todd's brothers windshield of his blue Mustang. oops. That turned into an Expensive night.

This is pretty common at the popular bars of other SEC schools on game weekends.

The states aren't stupid, they know how much these guys are making, and they'll hit them with an audit with quickness if the numbers don't at least kind of add up.

Can’t audit cash transactions on foot traffic. Maybe the bar numbers but not covers. He could turn around and make cash purchases for the alcohol inventory as well. There’s ways around the govt street tax

How are you going to tell me how much I charged at the door and what time I started charging a cover?

I’ve seen it done plenty of times. You don’t have to go through a distributor

Ask and if you lie you can go to jail. There's no doubt you can fudge but I can use other evidence to come to a number and then you have the burden of proof to challenge the assessment.

Congrats on admitting to tax evasion on the internet, which is probably a lie anyway because noone with enough booze to supply a place like Bogies is going to do shite that far below board. There's entirely too much risk with selling alcohol.

And I know who their distributor is anyway so your stupid point is irrelevant.
