You must go to shitty areas. I've never been to an HEB that wasn't top knotch.

The HEB just west of the Heights is a perfect example of what he's talking about. And while once a shitty area, it is not anymore.

I absolutely love HEB but any store built before like 2000 is nothing special.

Get out some. HEB has almost 400 locations

They don't all look like the ones in the burbs built in the last 15 years

I haven't been to one of those. Just been to whole foods and Central Market. We live about 35 minutes from Central Market in Houston and we will frequently drive in town on Saturday and eat lunch and go to Central Market.

I literally work across the street from a Whole Foods in Houston and I've only been to it like 3 times. Once was to get myself milk. Another time was to get my son milk.

I think the distinction that makes an HEB not ghetto is HEB plus.

. Quit being a sucker. Shop at your local grocery and be done.

So you think your local grocer is butchering grass fed cows and pastured chickens and growing tomatoes in the back lot? I don't think Associated Grocers work that way.

Now who's being the sucker?

you really think WF has their own farms, eh?

no... the supplier picks up the produce from the producer and usually stores it in their facility until the trucks from the seller come and get it, or another distributor picks it up for them and takes it to the seller. your dad, it appears, works for a supplier.

Yea and all the other brands.

Are yall trying to say that the cheapest chicken available at Wal mart is the exact same quality as the free range organic (insert more flashy words here) chicken at whole foods? It's just in a different package?

If wegmanns was closer, id likely go there over WF. But it's a bit of a drive compared to my 5 minutes to WF.

Why would I want to grocery shop in areas with 20 year old HEBs nowhere near where I live?

Yall need to get Publix and you'll end your squabbling over Whole Foods or WalMart.

Publix is the best of all grocery worlds
