It takes a union for this to make sense.

Welcome to the age of anti-intellectualism. It is going to be a long road back to the high ground if these tardbillies reinstall this moron in November.

Then police. Turn the fricking old dude around and arrest him. I'm not an expert on police procedures, but I don't think pushing elderly citizens backwards is proper protocol.

Emergency Response Team has resigned from the team, a total of 57 officers, as a show of support for the officers who are suspended without pay after shoving Martin Gugino, 75. They are still employed, but no longer on ERT.

The thin blue line never ceases to amaze me.

It won’t bother me to watch America make more poor people. Donnies policies benefit me. I’ll keep my head down and plug away, just like I did when it was Obama, and just like I did when it was Bush.

I just watched the video, it wasn't a hard push... but probably could have been handled better. Especially in present climate. Stupid thing the cop did, just adds fuel to the fire.

I was 7 years old when my Pops was attempting to dispatch an unruly wasp nest on our porch. I, being a dumb petulant child, kept getting in the way. When the wasps decided to get pissed, Pops pushed me aside and told me to get my arse back in the house. I fell off of the porch and skinned my elbow pretty badly.
Pops killed the wasps then checked on me.
I didn't hold it against him for very long.
I did file a complaint with my mother, however.

As opposed to the age of reason and intellectualism that's being put on display by the Left at varying times over recent years? A very movement that seems hellbent on tearing down exceptionalism at every turn.

frick off with that superiority bullshite the Left thinks they have. Great way to try to get into hearts and minds of folks by letting them know how you're smarter than them and think very little of them.

Over recent years, I've realized that my center-Left position no longer falls in line with what is being spouted and supported by the leftist party in this country. This change has nothing to do with anything Republicans have done, and everything to do with what the Democrats have done.

The old man should not have approached advancing officers, if he was more nimble he would not have fallen at all....completely on him.

What did the 75 year do to warrant being shoved besides supposedly being in the way? That clip from earlier was painful to watch.

Objectively... he walked up to Officers in a stressful and probably tired state, he reached at the waist probably unknowingly triggering a response that was heavy handed.. Bad optics but I imagine the officer didn’t intend the result.. On the plus side , the man was given no white privilege

Why do we give so many excuses for cops but never any excuse for regular people in these situations?
