you were out in the same area this old man was in trying to get to work and he walked up to you when you did not want him near you and asked him to not get close to you, and then you pushed him down, I'm betting no charges would stick.
Did you grow up under power lines?

Y'all that are trying to defend this sound like idiots. Those that are trying to make it sound like it was the worst actions taken by cops sound like idiots.
Bottom line, should have had every right to be where he was at but no the guy shouldn't have been there once the cops made their intentions clear but no the cops didn't need to take the actions they did. Should the cops have been suspended? Probably with pay and then reinstated in a day or two. Did the 57 others overreact? Maybe, maybe not. I get that they wanted to show support to their brothers especially after politicians went after them, much like other football players wanted to show support for Kaepernick especially after a certain politician went after him.
If I were the boss, I wouldn't let the inmates run the asylum though. I'd tell them that as long as they're getting a paycheck, they're assigned to the protesters even if as regular cops and not ERT.

What a shitty hill to die on. If they think that shite is acceptable then good riddance, those are exactly the kind of police we're fighting against

The old man was also at fault. Approaching a cop is like walking up to a pit bull. Some are friendly, but a few will just kill your arse for no reason. Best to avoid all contact.

Amazing he lasted 75 years. Do not tempt them. Not because they are superior. Expect them to behave this way. What the hell was he doing walking up like that?

I have the solution. We need a bunch of AR-15 welding white guys, claiming gun rights to be mowed down and beat to death by a bunch of black police officers.
Can some of you internet bullies set up a protest in Prichard next week. I will let them know you are coming.
Then all the black people can justify the action of the police and let’s see where this goes.
