He didn't exactly pull out an AK and cuss them out
If he had, you would have moved the goalposts and said "he wasn't going to shoot that cop. Look how old he is. He probably can't even shoulder an AK. And is it illegal to cuss at a cop?"

Well you push someone and have their head smash on the pavement and then tell me how it goes telling the judge that you “barely touched him”

It was a weak push after he gets in one cops face and grabs another’s arm
I could be wrong but I didn't see any contact made, certainly didn't see a grabbing of an arm.

Then they shouldn’t be police
Protesters ahould be compliant. Police were doing their job.

quote:Well yea, but what does that statement have to do with what happened to the old man?
If someone walked up and tried to grab my firearm, getting pushed down would be the best option they face.
The old man pretty clearly didn't make an attempt to grab a firearm, so what are you even talking about?

That is good for them. Take a stand for what they believe in.
I am curious though. Everyone yelling at BLM protestors to go get a job...I wonder if they'll yell the same thing at these 57 who truly don't have a job because of their form of protest?

They only resigned from the emergency response unit, they're still cops.

Look I defend cops a lot, but that was unnecessary. When a cop shoves an elderly person and bashes their head open I think an investigation is more than warranted.

The problem I have as that after they push him down, a guy stops to help and then is waived off as they goose step past him. That’s not police behavior, and I know and have represented too many cops, and I challenged any retired or active cop to refute that fact. Cops are trained to help people.
It is police behavior....because your medical personnel in the team are behind the front line.
The front line has to keep moving forward so medics can reach him. The front lines continues forward to protect the medics.
Represent what you want but you still don't understand the tactics.

Imagine supporting someone that pushes an old man down. Pathetic.

Advice to all cops:
Step 1
Go on strike or Quit your jobs.
Step 2
Come back in 3 months at double your pay.
The public will applaud your return.

Yeah, you're right, if you were out in your garden tending to your tomatoes and pushed an old man down, you would be charged.
If you were out in the same area this old man was in trying to get to work and he walked up to you when you did not want him near you and asked him to not get close to you, and then you pushed him down, I'm betting no charges would stick.
