I just imagine John Goodmans character in the Big Lebowski

“Look, ya want a tiger, I’ll get you a tiger.”

The little small bit of brain effort he had to exert to do this is still such a huge waste of effort. This state has so many REAL issues to focus on and he chooses this kind of crap.

I don't want to wish that something goes wrong, because it would be awful, but I ALMOST want something to happen just because of the stupidity of it. This is nothing but an attention whoring. I hope that the whole stadium boos the crap out it when it happens.

I support this on the condition that Landry also has to be in the cage with the tiger

I want it to be Auburn's Tiger mascot in a cage like a prisoner. Just for the sheer shits and giggles of it.

Just a Auburn freshman dressed as Aubue.

Nobody really cares about this. I can tell you I haven’t miss the tiger being pulled around the field not once. It’ll feel nostalgic but that’s it.

So does leaving your pet dog at home all day while you go to work.

We should ban dogs for dual-income couples I guess.

It’s bizarre that Tigerdroppings is melting about bringing back an 80+ year old tradition.

So weird. This is great.

It was a great way to distract the visiting team's players, but this is just another unnecessary, pointless exercise by Landry.

You can be pro having the tiger on the field and against Jeff Landry using state funds and governor's office employee time to figure out how to do it.

No, Mike doesn’t go into the stadium anymore because PETA raised a huge fuss about it after Mike VI died and LSU was searching for a new tiger. LSU caved to PETA…I assume so they would go away and not try to create problems for LSU in obtaining Mike VII and future tigers.

ETA: and back when Mike did go into the stadium, it was always voluntary. If Mike didn’t want to go into the cage, he didn’t go to the stadium. LSU didn’t force him to go.

I'm all for tradition. But some traditions, especially ones where it costs money and efforts elsewhere, can go die.

It's one thing if you said okay let's get mike to go. It's our tiger. Doesn't really affect finances to do so.

Now to go rent a tiger. Pay for the services and fees is going to cost tens of thousands that is pointless and brings nothing in return.

Probably just going to paint a dog orange with stripes and try to get away with it.

Which of course, would be hilarious.
