Like it or don’t like it.

Your choice.

But complaining about $8.50?

I went to Moo-Yah yesterday and the keto burger was $13.63.

Can’t eat for $3.50 anymore

I ain’t even that picky when it comes to food… but this place has absolutely the worst so-called BBQ I have ever taste… a 3 meat plate that’s 9$ should have been a dead giveaway

It’s a shame you’re compelled by law to purchase one.

has gotten on this board and I had sticker shock at the $8.50 chopped brisket sandwich. I bought one anyway just to try it, and it was okay. Just okay. Maybe worth about half of that price.

Why would they sell them at half that price when they can sell all they can make at $8.50? People pay for the experience, I presume.

Meanwhile, the best experience one can have at a Buccees is free, and I do it every now and then. Cruising the parking lot or posting up for a bit provides one with a people watching experience that is only rivaled by the old Walmart Black Friday early morning running of the wildebeests. It is top notch people watching. Hell, I'd probably pay a parking lot cover charge just for the pleasure.

I just spent $100 on junk, but I would spend that at McDonsld’s for 8 people and it’s much more fun at Bucees.

Fresh chopped brisket at a gas station, anywhere, isn’t gonna be cheap.

Their brisket sandwiches aren't that good.

For a gas station/fast food stop? They're good to really good.

Compared to from an actual smokehouse? Yeah they're pretty shite. Way too much sauce.

In what year are we talking here? I imagine you need to update your idea of what things are worth.

I’ve never had this sandwich. What was wrong with it to be worth only four dollars and twenty five cents?

You're paying for the convenience of walking into a gas station and picking up a ready made sandwich and walking out. You would have a point if it was a sit down restaurant with smokers in the back.

While more rare and harder to see, this should easily top that.

Skip the sandwhich and get the jalapeño cheese summer sausage and some saltine crackers.

Wash it down with drink if choice.

So a brisket sandwich, bag of beaver chips, and x-large drink would run about $12.

Tell me where else I can safely stop right off the interstate, get gas, use clean bathrooms, get a hot and fresh lunch for $12 and without the staff treating me like dog shite.

just looked it up. Their brisket sandwich is 9.90, buccees is no super bbq, but it is a huge sandwich. You can run in, pee, grab a sandwich and drink and be back in car before your tank is full of gas that saves you about 5 bucks a tank versus other highway gas stations

You can’t and if you go to a bbq food truck you’re gonna pay double.
