You realize the price of brisket?
Smoked a brisket last Saturday. Somewhat smallish, cost was mid 20's plus tax. Wife and I ate on it all week and the last little bit I'm making chopped. Choice beef as well. I would say per serving cost was below $3.00. Buc-ees making bank.

TulaneLSU doesn’t care for Buc-ees. In fact, if I remember correctly, he found a shite stain in one of the toilets.

That’s what I was thinking. Good price for real smoked brisket.

Got no buc-ees in my neck of the woods but just looked at all the local places near me both corporate chain and private businesses and no kidding the average for a chopped brisket sandwich is $8.49. Again can’t speak on the quality but the price does not seem out of line.

place to take a shite on the Interstate in America, and the Beaver Nuggets.

Tried them once and had explosive poop following. Not sure what is in there but label should come with a "colon blow" warning.

Never go for chopped brisket. Get sliced instead.

Brisket is so expensive that restaurants must sell it all. So they use chopped and tacos as a way to get you the fat.

Tell me where I can get a brisket sandwich for less than $8.50. I think that may be what a double quarter pounder with cheese cost.

Maybe you should get out more. I ordered a #1 Whataburger and a small Coke yesterday, without fries.

$9.57

beef is expensive and preparing a brisket is a labor of love.

Cheap gas, clean restrooms, watermelon sours, beaver chips and chopped bbq sammiches. Yeah that place sucks.

I'm glad to know this. I appreciate how they undercut the competition on gas prices, but I guess that is a loss leader and they make most of their money on selling food items and random trinkets.

I believe most convenience stores operate on the business model of small margin profits on gas. They all make their money on the stuff inside the store.

I don't get why these are popular either. They taste like soft Cracker Jacks to me. I'm not a fan.

Aren’t too many places you can get a chopped brisket sandwich and a clean crapper for 8.50…

Guess the OP doesn't frequent many po-boy shops in the N.O. area if that price scares him. Go to Parkway Bakery and you'll seriously damage a $20 on almost any sandwich and a root beer.

They have inflated their prices big time during the last year or so. Not worth it to stop there anymore for us
