I don't have a problem with the shove. The guy reached towards his waist. That's a no no.
But the cop who shoved him immediately tried to help the guy up and the a-hole supervisors (I'm assuming) made him keep going and wouldn't let any others render aid as well. That's the most fricked up part was the leaving him there.

So a helmet couldn’t be a weapon?
I don’t have an issue with protests, I do have an issue protesting police violence by getting into the police’s face and egging them on. If you don’t want an issue with police, keep your distance.
Furthermore, that wasn’t much of a shove. For anyone but an old man, it’s nothing. An old person can throw a helmet, throw a brick, shoot a gun, no different than anyone else. If you want to be treated different because you are old then stay home, it’s not going to happen during a protest and riot.
ETA: if the old man was in a protest line and the police confronted him, it would be different. The old man intentionally walked up to the police.

There is absolutely nothing in that video to suggest the man was egging the police on or antagonizing them. If anything it looks like he had a police helmet and was trying to return it to them. But without any audio of what he or the cop said, we just don't know. The shove was out of line, and leaving him there with a bleeding ear just makes it exponentially worse for them.

The fricked up part is it looks like one cop was about help him up, but another cop stops him from helping.
This is supposed to be the best country in the history of the Earth though lol.
"Land of the free" where we are only 4% of the world's population, but 25% of all the world's incarcerated people are locked up here.
I remember being able to brag about the freedoms of this country, but now its a police state only slightly better than China because the internet is still uncensored for now.
