It's a joke list for many reasons.

The list is mostly just people who advertise on a regular basis with Lagniappe.

My business would be on that list, as would some of my friends if we all actually reached out and asked to be in the Lagniappe magazine

This and most other companies they reach out to decline it. They don't want their financials in the local paper.

I didn't see the Yoo Hoo soft drink company listed. Years ago, I dropped down to Holly Beach to see the LA coast and discovered the source of Yoo Hoo. Figured the bottling company would be in Lake Charles

Muddy water joke

There was actually a Yoohoo plant in Opelousas, LA for many years but it closed about 15 years ago. It was 1 of their 2 plants in the U.S. They consolidated with it with a plant in New Jersey

The last row is a list of companies who are "verified" but chose not to publish their revenue.

Malcom moves a ton of gold and silver around the US, those numbers really aren’t a big deal.

Looking at that list with the lawyers, I was thinking about the threshold of $1M, and I imagine most firms with, let's just say 4, attorneys gross that much.

There are some somewhat big firms in LC not on that list that clearly gross more than $1M. There's one with 15-16 attorneys. $1M is 62,500 in billing for 16 attorneys

I knew Navarre automotive did well especially seeing that palace Billy built on Shell Beach some years ago, but for a town the size of Lake Charles, that's a staggering amount. Makes you wonder how much these dealers make in big cities.

Most of the time those lists are based on the number of employees. Obvious exclusions are parish government, parish school board, McNeese Univ., and the casinos.

and the casinos.

Not locally owned, which is the criteria
