Reasons I let my daughter spend the night at other children's homes:
1. She had fun.
2. She got to spend time around other people, and see how they did things, and conducted themselves in their households.
3. It helped her get to know the other kids better. Some she is still friends with, and some she drifted away from.
4. She wanted to. Within reason, I always guided her through decisions.
5. It helped her become a little more rounded, having exposure to other groups of people.
I was also careful for her, in advance.

I mean, I don’t outright disagree with her on any of those except the gun thing, and even then, I would certainly never want an open weapon just lying around the house or anything like that.
That said, I’d bet where she draws the line and where I would draw the line on all those might be quite different.

She can not let kids go over to another house for any reason.

Yeah and I don't have a problem with any of them, though I would think you could be lenient with the gun owner one if they're all safely locked away like a responsible gun owner should have them.

I’d bet my firstborn that her kid doesn’t have many friends to begin with...

A couple are reasonable I wouldn’t want my kid subjected to a household of an abusive alcoholic or anything.
But I don’t care what their view on race is, or if they own guns as long as they’re responsible gun owners.
Oh and I found a pic of the woman who wrote that

I don't want my kids staying at someone's house unless the parents are confident enough to protect my kids with their guns.
Besides... If you don't have a gun in your home I assume you're a felon and can't own one. Or you're too stupid to realize the police can't get to your home quick enough in a life or death situation.

Sounds like this kid has two moms, both fat with brightly colored hair, and doesn’t have a room, but a safe space.

I don't think I ever spent the night at a friend's house when I was a kid, whose parents didn't have a gun. Not at all trying to sound cool
But we were taught gun safety, how you NEVER play with a gun, you NEVER aim a gun at someone even if you think it is unloaded because most gun accidents happen because the person with the gun thought it wasn't loaded (not sure if this is true, but that's what we were told).
Not to mention, guns were locked up. It is just down right stupid to say you will not let your kid go to someone's house because their parents have guns.
I am sure they have knives as well. If someone wanted to take out a kid, there are other options around that could be used as a weapon than a gun.

My girls don’t stay the night with people but that’s mainly because it lessens the probability of sexual abuse.
3 out of 4 are abused by somebody they know
1 in 9 girls are sexually abused by 17
There is a growing trend of sexually abused children acting out on other children.
As the spouse of a woman whose been sexually abused, I don’t want to see my daughter go through what she does. Staying the night opens up a door that could lead to a lot of issues.

My daughter flat out doesn’t spend the night at other houses because of the potential for abuse by another sibling
