Anchorage isn't bad, but it's expensive...
It stretches from Alyeska up to Matanuska valley...
Within city limits there are:
A city with all the cool festivals that come with it...
A glacier
A good ski resort (Alyeska)
Several good golf courses (the Creek is great)
Olympic cross country ski track
Tons of hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking etc.
Fishing all over
Lakes
