But Miss Universe is in town and the riverfront will have a billion in development so all is ok.
Anybody that visits or invests in that city is insane. It is getting more vile and 3rd World everyday. And it is not going into reverse in the future.

Only about a block away from DMac’s, which is a good dive bar. That sucks, but the elements are definitely around there.

The poster Tizzme or whatever he’s called will tell you it’s because none of you idiots know where to park. Then several others will chime in and dismiss your post cause, you know, none of their vehicles have ever been targeted.

11 murdered first 8 days of 2023. That would be over 500 for the year if NOLA can keep it up.

With the 125 murders per 100,000 that should be enough for NOLA to get the Murder Capital of the World, and outpace Tijuana or Juarez.

I know people who still go out around there. I've told them they should move. I wonder if they're just resigned to being murdered.

They've had some shootings around that area before. I went to pick up pizza from pizza Domenica and there had been a shooting earlier and the streets were blocked off.
Wouldn't be surprised for that location to close

The location of this shooting isn't the hood. You really aren't safe anywhere in New Orleans. The city has never been worse.

Midcity has been crappy for decades. Crime there shouldn't surprise anyone.

People have cars. It's not like there is a wall around parts of midcity. Since at least the early 1990s it has been a sketchy area.

I should start a running list of all of the areas in NOLA that people on here say have been “crappy for decades”.

If I would have kept up over the years, I’m pretty sure the entirety of NOLA would be on that list by now.

Every neighborhood, somehow, happens to have been “crappy for decades”.

Mayor says Nola is listed on a website as best place to visit

So all is well. Tijiuana and Juarez will be sister cities soon.

It’s only a matter of time until you start having armed vigilantes patrolling areas and taking these matters into their own hands.

Yeah, but as long as you personally haven’t been shot, mugged, robbed, stabbed, or had your car stolen or broken into, then it’s really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

And smoking isn’t bad for you because my grandma smoked her entire life and never got lung cancer.
