That's a shame. Netflix has a good limited series where basically the same thing happens (besides the daughter convinces the mom and they both do it). The Netflix series is called "Apple Cider Vinegar".

You see this kind of shite all the time.
As a whole, people are stupid.

At least it kept her awake

This reminds me of those abhorrent stories where parents believe that Jesus can save their child from cancer (or some other serious disease) and so they deny them life-saving treatment
Reminds me of the old joke about a person refusing a ride in a truck just before a flood was going to happen then refusing a boat once the water rose. Then climbing on the roof and again refusing a rope ladder dropped from a helicopter - each time saying God will save me.
When the person gets to heaven they ask God why He didn’t save them? God says, what else did you want me to do? I sent you a truck, a boat and a helicopter.

She made a choice. Over 21? Yep.
Good luck with that.

This has happened before. A few years ago, a Polish women tried this. They found her dead, with about 30 Keurig K-cups shoved up her arse.

Medical science deniers are a self-correcting societal problem.

There’s a coffee cup that’s says “coffee makes me poop”.
Hers said “I poop coffee”

That is a lot of coffee.
Probably should have gone with half-caff.

She also expressed fears that chemotherapy might leave her infertile.

Chemo is poison. I know plenty of people who refused it and have their cancer in remediation.
Coffee enema sounds ridiculous to treat cancer. 5 of them per day sounds like it may have caused death.

Not the course of action I would have chosen, but I fully support her right to decide for herself. She was an adult. I don't support the State deciding for her. Now, if it was a minor child, that would be a trickier situation.

Chemo probably would have killed her anyway.

Baws, I have a confession. I lost a bet in college and everyone had written a dumb arse punishment in a sealed envelope you dropped in a fish bowl.
Loser had to read them all and pick one.
The coffee enema was easily the most tame/least permanent of the batch.
Went to a random spa on highland and did it.
Honest review? Imagine the most catashtrophic dump of your life followed by an intense energized caffiene high that lasted a few hours.
Not bad. 8/10.
