There's one high school in Zachary.

Does anyone know how the Gifted and Talented programs inside of the public schools are factored into the rankings? Are they just added in and helping to bump up the score, or is there a separate score for them?
For clarity, I'm asking about Gifted and Talented, which is different from Magnet.

I don't think they're separated from the scores of traditional students.

You are correct. I wouldn’t trust anything the DOE does.

Bonus points. The reason why all kids are straight A students now. Parents would rather send 100 pounds of canned goods to get bonus points than accept the fact that Johnny got a B.
My wife is guilty of this

Donaldsonville forever the anchor dragging AP down.
No doubt. My kids have gone/are going to Oak Grove, Prairieville Middle and Dutchtown
Oak Grove: 97.6 A
Prairieville Middle: 110 A
DutchTown: 100.7 A
PVM is the #1 Middle School in the state, Dutchtown #12 HS(Non-select rankings). It may not be on par with some of the private schools, but I feel like my kids are getting a solid education that will be a foundation for college and beyond

I will say as a teacher I it really makes me happy to see people actually care how the schools are doing. And I can also say that these grades do not fully reflect the amount of work and effort some teachers put in to their classes. That being said, there is also the problem of where Louisiana education has been the past 10 years. Curriculum changes every year without giving it time to get accurate results on whether or not the curriculum works, and now our hands our tied to the point where we basically teach scripted lessons and are told not to change anything, even when we see our students re not getting it. Its sad.
