Checking in to see if Zachary is still #1.

ETA: They also reworked the equation to figure grades. Not sure what changes were made but I believe there are less A schools.

5 Bs and 1 A. Will still be up there, but likely not the very top.

They are #1. I just made that one of those posts like people on the OT make when they know the result sometimes.

the top 4 elementary schools in Shreveport/Bossier are in Shreveport but everyone says you have to move to Bossier for the schools

I am going to Dallas in a few weeks. Stopping over in Sport area. I chose a Bossier hotel. Am I wrong for that?

It's an insane equation that factors heavily on test scores, but there are ways to earn bonus points and all kinds of crap. In the end, the state board of education (John White) gets to determine the range of scores for each grade. Almost all Louisiana public schools were below an A and/or B, so they lowered the grading scale. It's a joke.

Actually, they made the grading more in-line with (reality) the rest of the country this year. That's why most grades are worse for 2018.

What’s the scale for this an A in Louisiana is still a D in Texas.

We are zoned for an A elementary school, C middle school and F high school in BR. That's not unusual here either. They typically get progressively worse unless you go magnet.

Which is the opposite for LP where many of the elementary/middle schools are BC and the high schools jump up or remain B. No C or less HSs.

I was really referring to BR.

I'm from Central and their schools are kind of like that. B elementary, B middle/intermediate, A high school.

Bossier is not as some perceive. It is not Central or McKinney Texas. I know places in Bossier that are equally bad to Shreveport.
