Used to live in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, my backyard neighbor had 2 Schnauzers who constantly barked. Neighbor tuned them out like children. So glad we moved.
Now I have a neighbor who owns a retriever. It has free range over all our yards. She goes on patrols several time...

The essential workers were given "papers" to prove why they had permission to move about.
We keep those along with other mementos.
Never thought law-abiding citizens in the US would need permission to move about.
...or report our vaccination status to our employers, fill out surveys, etc....

If it was up to my fil, all 18yo (including all his grandkids) would serve a 2 yr mandatory conscription. He has no problem sending them off.
