It all depends on how you define school shootings. If you define it as someone who shoots someone else at school, the overwhelming majority are black males.

The good ole projection ay? “They” would be injecting race into the conversation…as he injects his racism into the conversation.

Yeah, they make up the majority but it seems way higher than it is because the story is more salacious if it’s a white guy and gets reported on way more.
Mass shooters represent a small portion of the population across all demographics.
There were 202 mass shooters from 1966 to 2026, equalling 1 for every 1.6 million people in the U.S.
White Americans accounted for 56.9% of mass shooters in the U.S.
When methodology is expanded to include gang and dispute-related shootings, black adolescents account for 53% of school shooters.
Definition of mass shooting used in article: Mass shooters were included based on whether the shooting incident aligned with the FBI and the Violence Prevention Project's definition of "mass murder." Such incidents result in four or more civilian fatalities in a public place and are unconnected to another crime or family violence.

Edit: Appears the stats referenced above relate only to mass shootings and not specifically school shootings, but school shooting breakdowns are noted in linked article.

There are certain actions minors take that they know are damn well wrong. Most people's brains are developed enough to grasp the concept of death by 7 years old. At 10 to 12, you truly understand it. A 14 year old who makes a conscious decision to shoot up a school has no shot at redemption in life.

The first time I testified at trial was in 1992, and the court reporter was using a stenomask to transcribe. Wiki says they've been around for 50+ years

I agree with the penalty, but my brain cannot comprehend a 14 year-old doing something like that.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that this little POS lives to be 75 yrs. old. That means he will have been incarcerated for 59 years of his life.
According to The Federal Bureau of Prisons, it currently averages $36,300 a year per inmate. Even at that figure, it will cost over $2 million for that duration, and we all know the price will only rise as time passes.
What does one .38 caliber shell cost??????
