Didn’t this happen Wednesday night/Thursday morning, though?

A lot of people in Southdowns have their trash bins outside (vs stored in a garage). It’s still plausible that he was taking a bag of trash to the bin even if he wasn’t taking the bin to the street for pickup.

Where do you think 15 year olds buy weed? Because that’s been happening across the country forfrickingever.

You just need to stick within your tribe and have some sort of knowledge of who the dealer is and hangs out with.

He was shot 11pm Wed and found thur morning. Trash pickup in that area is a full day later. However, he could have just been bringing a bag to the can when the car pulled up.

the second wbrz link earlier in the thread states that this incident occurred late wednesday night/early thursday morning...it also says that there is security video showing the kid taking the trash out...then the SUV approaches him, he walks up to the driver's window, and gets dragged over 250 yards down the road...he was found around 2am thursday in the middle of poplar street near lee drive...

Got it. Not great then. Usually don’t put trash out two nights before

There has to be doorbell cam videos of the perp/s and license plate footage. Lots of homes in the area, and someone had to have heard the gunshot/s and potentially screams from the victim when dragged from the SUV.

It could have been a FB marketplace robbery as well.

The simplest explanation is usually the right one. I bet like 90% of homicides in America today have something to do with drugs. At the risk of judging a book by its cover, he looks like a kid that would conceivably be buying weed. Also young enough that he probably didn’t grasp how dangerous it is to get involved with certain people.

ETA the world we live in makes me happy we don’t have kids. I hate that this happens all the time.

A majority of 15 year olds haven’t tried weed. I think the stats are around 20-25%. Weed usage has actually declined somewhat over the last few decades. I do agree that anything they buy should be from their neighborhood type dealers, but anyone selling drugs/weed to a 15 year old is a piece of shite.

Yep.
If it were a drug deal then he had to communicate with the dealer in some way. Phone, text, social media app, something would be there to link him to the dealer.

I think they find out who this was quickly. You know those people in Southdowns have cameras all over. Add in the other cameras in the area.

I don’t believe that at all. I smell weed everywhere I go these days. Also, teems now have easy access to gummies and THC vapes that didn’t exist decades ago ago.

Is there any credible evidence weed was even involved or is it just speculation as to why he would go up to the SUV?

If you don’t have anything to add to the discussion about which race is more likely to have been involved please stay out of this thread.

Were you aware that if I was never around someone who was taller than 7 ft, I probably would not get killed by someone taller than 7 ft.

FACT!!!

Weed usage among adolescents. I should have mentioned that. I have no idea about adults? Honestly adult usage doesn’t concern me as much. If you want to wreck your body I don’t care what you use.

What about a 17 year old who bought it from a 19 year old who bought it from someone else? That's how it went back in my day at least

I can't wait for the day I bust my high school kids with weed and scold them, then turn around and "check the potency" myself when they're out of the house
