Hopefully the judge throws this out.

Why would they throw this out?

He was driving an unregistered vehicle without insurance or a DL

It's just a traffic citation. People are talking like he's being charged with serious criminal charges

Befriend the blue and they will probably help your kid build that bamboo fort.

He didn't have a driver's license.

and possibly will save the live of others down the road, How many needless deaths and brain injuries have occurred because of little kids on unsupervised ATV's, motorcycles, etc? Follow the law and make sure your children do in order to reduce chance of having to deal with the worst thing imaginable. Hope the 11 year old and his parents learn a valuable lesson. Hope this sends a message to parents everywhere. And everybody send a check to Hope for Minds, a great organization that helps children with brain injury.

I feel like missing school 2 times isn't as big of a deal as the daddy is making it out to be. And this wasn't a super cross type dirt bike right? It was an electric bike?

Is it illegal to ride an electric dirt bike 300 ft?

Nobody here clamoring to have the parents charged as well? That seems to be a popular theme here when parents green light law breaking behavior in their children.

i didn't read the story but will comment that kids riding on roads with Ebikes is been a problem lately. they don't know the rules of driving, and often don't have good lighting.

which is it?

quote:

Accelerating from 0 to 50 mph (73.33 feet per second) over 300 feet requires an average acceleration rate of about 8.96 \(\text{ft/s}^{2}\) (\(0.28\text{ g}\)). The total time elapsed during this acceleration over 300 feet is roughly 8.18 seconds.

Sounds like the cop prevented that kid from eventually hurting himself or others.

I got harassed for most of my dirt bike years from about the same age. Karens hate a 2 stroke. I stopped riding on the road in the subdivision and started riding the headland. Still didn't matter. Cops never messed with me though. They just showed up and said stay off road

How hard is it not to be a douche bag? I'm pro law enforcement, but a select few on power trips make all cops unlikeable.

And I'm done with female cops. Those are the worst.

No idea. It was on the news. And you can look up multiple news stories saying so. 25 or 30 would be insanely dangerous.

Parents deserve a good shaming for raising a kid too lazy to walk 300 feet.

Good those things are out of control. None of the kids follow the rules of the road. I live in this area and it’s bad. I’ve almost ran over like 5 kids this year.

quote:

The argument is that we have VIOLENT CRIMINALS who are being released every single day by the court system all the time who are constantly let off with warnings... But this kid is getting the full weight of the justice system brought against him.

In FL we can do both. This isn’t CA or NY
