On a somewhat related note, there has been an unfortunate rise in ICE impersonators lately.

So then charge them with impersonating a federal officer. Or are you suggesting that this is somehow reason to stop deporting illegals?

It’s both

I suspect this girl’s classmates would have found some other way to treat her like crap. Middle school girls can be especially shitty to each other. It’s absolutely a bullying and mental health problem.

And if the school was aware, they should have stepped in and put an end to it.

I remember when the Border Agents on horseback were whipping migrants too.

AOC photo-op with the family is on deck.

I spend a lot of time in Dallas for work. They have a sizable Hispanic population.

I find it strange/hard to believe there wouldn’t be a handful of other Hispanic children in her same class. Kids can be cruel for no reason, but is her family the only known illegal family or something? Kids naturally hang out with those similar to them. No other Hispanics?

how would an 11 yr old girl attempt suicide?
Majority of female suicide attempts are medication overdoses.

I was thinking back to when i was 11 and even though i may have been an arse at times, i wouldn’t even know what to say if someone took their own life over saying im gonna call ICE on you and your family.

Your matter of fact, pretend fence sitting way of posting is beyond annoying. You know what you want to say and how you feel but you are to lazy to defend it.

Perhaps that's why parents should do a better job teaching their kids not to be cruel and not to bully. Parents are generally the most influential force in a kid's life.

We should enforce the laws that make impersonating a federal law enforcement officer a crime, too. Just like we should enforce our immigration laws.

funny, I don't recall you starting a thread when Tesa Middlebrook hung herself after being bullied by her classmates.

guess her story was (D)ifferent

Here come the heartstring stories to try to change the narrative from the reality that the majority of voters want mass deportation

Here is a heartstring story involving another Jocelyn here in Houston.

Illegal migrants lured Jocelyn Nungaray, 12, under bridge, assaulted for 2 hours before killing her

Agreed. We should do away with immigration control because it’s mean.

That’s horrible. The issue here is bullying, though, not the existence of ICE and current efforts to enforce U.S. immigration law.

Agreed.

It’s a little strange when I searched her name to find a more local story instead of the Independent that I didn’t see any. The girl passed away Feb 8th, and the Univision report in Spanish was on Feb 14th. Regardless of illegal immigration enforcement aspect school bullying causing a suicide usually makes the local area news.

I did read that it was added to the “blame Trump” list I think yesterday that the Dems communicate to their lemmings to push out as much as possible like the airplane crash in Canada. It’s pretty shameful and petty to use the death of an 11 year old for politics especially one that likely had existing issues including maybe ones at home. At least in this case it will help get more local news to eventually report on it that hopefully will be more original and get more info besides just continuing to translate the Spanish interview. Hearing from school officials is important.

It's unclear how the girl hurt herself, but her family believes relentless bullying drove her to suicide, according to a GoFundMe page.

It seems like after spending 5 days in an ICU they would have an idea of what she did.

I have read that the increased presence securing our border have caught Bordal Patrol impersonators that were helping illegals to cross (or in these present cases trying to help when caught).

I read about that more than ICE impersonators which was one truck parked at store with similar coloring but also some official looking markings as well. I don’t think a person was actually seen impersonating anyone.

What’s next on the blame Trump list that you have been told to regurgitate online and in conversations.

A GoFundMe donation page was created while the 11-year-old was desperately fighting to survive in hospital.

Her father Ernesto Alonso Rojo, shared a statement on February 15: “Please all help me and my daughter Jocelynn Rojo. She needs to come back home; she is in an emergency children’s hospital. Any help, God blesses you back. Thank you very much to all praying. Dios los bendiga y le mande salud a mi niña!!!”
