Good. The voters' stupidity should be painful.

I got as far as “Bogalusa” and could take a guess what happened.

I guess the gang war between these idiots and NBA Youngboy’s crew continues.

Friends who lived up the street from me as a kid had family there and would talk about how much it sucked to visit there about 30+ years ago. And I imagine that time has not been kind to it.

Other schools should just refuse to let their teams play there.

Thing is, it wasn't at the basketball game. It was just near campus. The basketball game ended and when everyone tried to leave the police sheltered everyone in place. No one at the basketball game even knew it happened until the game was over and they tried to leave.

Our high school already refuses to play in bogalousa due to safety concerns.

Oh, I have. I was a truck driver for years.
I've seen a lot of sad places, all over the U.S.
I use to have to pick up at the box plant in Bogalusa pretty often.
I guess it bothered me so much, because you could tell it was a pretty decent town at one time.

The new mayor wants the sheriffs department and the rest of the parish to foot the bill for policing that god-awful shite hole. They’ve been trying for years to get a Bogalusa city school system, absorbed into the rest the parish again so everybody else has to pay for that shite hole of a city. Thank God, the parish government has maintained its sanity.

The 24 year old mayor in December wanted go disband the city police force

This isn't true. Hundreds of police departments across the country are handing over their police service responsibilities to the Sheriff's offices. Cities from 100 to 200,000 in population have successfully done it. Police pensions and long term health care costs are out of control and it's not sustainable long term. The mayor asked the new sheriff to consider it, and city government has to review their options. The mayor is an extreme leftist, but this idea is very conservative. Rid yourself of the cost and collect enough tax revenue to fulfill retirement obligations, give the rest to the Sheriff's office to cover the cost of operating. The idea rids city government of multiple employees.

BHS is currently about 1-7.

I can take a guess they probably aren’t hosting a playoff game this year.

The rest of Washington Parish isn’t responsible for footing the bill for Bogalusa, because that’s what will happen. The mayor of Franklinton is suggesting the same, simply because he and the chief of police hate each other.
