Why is Gayle waiting to sell the team when she dies? Why not do it now

If she sells these franchises, now she can watch the money, go to her charities. And she could watch the charities, grow and watch the saints be more of a franchise.

What is she waiting on? Nobody wants her to run the ship anymore.

Well the number only goes up in value. That conniving count is not going to let the money walk. She didn't suck off Benson all those years to not maximize her investment.

Does she realize she is killing the city And the gulf coast

She is doing more harm than help in this situation.
Not one person in this big world of ours can say, she is doing a great jobs with the pelicans the saints franchise.

Because she loses the status she thinks she's has.

She needs to be embarrassed publicly.

What I can’t understand is you can’t tell me there aren’t rich hoity toity types around her that also watch the games. You would think some of them would ask questions and make comments: when are yall going to fire so and so, when are yall going to get it together, etc.

Team might be locked in financial trusts only in the event she passes away. Selling it before her death may trigger unwanted financial consequences or penalties that will not maximize the foundation that will be setup with the proceeds of the sale.

Someone or some group is going to make bank running this foundation distributing the funds.

It reminds me of George in Seinfeld after Susan dies, and he finds out how much wealth they would have received after they got married. But because they didn’t, her parents put it all into a foundation to be distributed. George got to sit on the board, but it was an unpaid position.

I could only imagine in the Saints situation, it would be a paid position and someone will come in and rake in 7 figures a year to distribute the billions to various organizations and not profits.

it's a business and as long as it makes money they don't care. Money starts leaving and then changes are made to get money back. Short answer is stop going to the games putting money into a shitty product.

Because then she's not in the rarified air of being an NFL and NBA owner. Only Haslam and Benson hold that title.

I haven't been here all day but this is the smartest post I've seen all day.

I've been thinking it for a while. Mrs. Gayle isn't Mr. Tom.

Right, this is why owners stay on for generations.

This

The Saints make her Nola royalty

She wouldn't be invited to the The Meeting of the Courts if she didn't own the Saints, let alone get to comment on the broadcast every year

When the NBA officially expands to 32 teams, she stands to gain upwards of $500m.

She, Dennis Lauscha, Greg Bensel and Mickey can all continue to feed off the carcass of Tom until the day she dies. They all use the trust to further their own agendas.

Gayle is a twice failed business woman that only has status because the archdiocese used her as a Trojan horse to get its hands on the city’s most valuable asset.

Wouldn't she still be invited to the "Round Table" if her charities do good?

If she dies she wouldn't be able to see it

Missing two more (at least):

Stan Kroenke (owner of the Rams and the Denver Nuggets)

Josh Harris (owner of the Commanders and the Philadelphia 76ers)

Both of them also each own an NHL franchise too.

I think the only real movement on a potential sell would come after another GM fails for years

Because every yr the value goes up and so does the amount of Catholic priests who are raping our children. They need more funds to cover it up. lol

Who would be the most likely buyers?

I remember that after Katrina there was a group in San Antonio that wanted to buy.
